A global high tech semiconductor company needed to advance their managers into new leadership behaviors to transform the organization and aid retention of high performing talent. Our team took on the challenge and designed a Leadership Simulation using dramatic vignettes and requiring learner decision making. Using strategically crafted dramatically produced video vignettes and interjecting the learner into a decision making capacity, simulates real life management. An opportunity to select potential outcomes, change course, and see the results of decisions made teaches learners the positive and negative results of specific behaviors and leadership styles.
A leading computer technology manufacturer wanted to provide their global sales staff mobile access to audio and video podcasts on their intranet. Ricochet developed an app to do just that. Ricochet designed the iOS and Android app to take full advantage of the content and its hierarchies on our client’s SharePoint server. A big concern of our client was protecting the files from unofficial sharing, so we built the app to stream not store files. We mirrored the file hierarchy on the SharePoint, provided optimal usability with information, channels, lists and search available throughout the app experience. Our client is extremely pleased with the functionality and performance of the app.
A large hospital and university entity needed to replace their legacy HIPAA training with an updated, comprehensive approach to impact staff, member and vendor behavior. With such dry factual policies and procedures, our client was concerned that our creative multiplier Clever Relevance™ would be difficult to apply. After in-depth content immersion, the Ricochet team designed a creative approach utilizing a collection of dramatic stories illustrating situations by category of infraction. The dramas involve the learner in the story. Supporting Learning Moments isolated key learning points with quiz questions to verify and solidify learning. Our clients are extremely pleased with the program which is launching this month.
A leading global sportswear manufacturer needed to update their account planning blended learning course to align with new approaches and procedures. Ricochet evaluated the instructional design and with our client determined that 2 of the webinar elements could move to eLearning. Using Articulate Storyline, Ricochet designed the 2 course modules with optimal interactivity and content self-checks. The 3-Day ILT was beautifully redesigned to align with the course look Ricochet developed. A printed Facilitator Guide and supporting Participant Guide was also developed. The program pilot launches this month.
One of the top 3 U.S. health insurers added transgender health services to its insurance coverage but the 180,000 member staff was not trained to work with transgender patients. The goal of this training is to reach across personal opinion and cultural predispositions to teach employees across job descriptions, how to provide equitable health care to these patients. Ricochet determined that providing a factual teaching approach was not going to achieve the program’s learning objectives. We realized that the true mission of our assignment was to engender empathy for the patients. This view into the human aspects of the interactions fostered the creation of empathy, which allowed learning to happen. The client and their executive management love the program. They commended the program for making incredible progress in promoting inclusion in health care.
A major automobile manufacturer trains and certifies its U.S. Dealer network utilizing both ILT and eLearning courses. Ricochet is enhancing a number of ILT sales courses to aid in the understanding of core principles while providing creative punctuation to the content. The Ricochet team realized that the sales content was interwoven with logical and emotional instruction, providing a wealth of opportunity for creative exploration. Our team moved the training from the expected to the unexpected supporting the brilliant presentation capabilities of the facilitators with entertaining yet instructionally sound visuals and stories.
